About the quest [Let the sea eat me: to perform a ferry]

A series of text-based performance, staging the sea and reflecting the relationship between the humankind and the water, through examining particular phase of this relationship as the Mediterranean migration waves, and the history of fugitive performance in river Nile. Alongside other relations to the water as sports, rituals and legends.

The project thinks through the history of different phases of fugitives/renegades such as immigrants, mercenary tourists, rovers, queers, and exiles, and their relation to the sea as dissimilarity zoon.

you have to understand
that no one puts their children in a boat
unless the water is safer than the land
